- A list of surveyors will be presented to you by your AYC Yacht Broker.
- The Purchaser must choose and independently contract with the Marine Surveyor for inspection of the vessel.
- Survey costs vary from $20 - $25 per ft. The Purchaser is also responsible for the “Short Haul” marina charges for hauling the yacht out of the water for the inspection of the bottom and all underwater gear. Usually $6 - $8 per ft. As an example figures for a 60ft yacht would be $1200 - $1500 for the survey plus $360 - $480 for the short-haul.
- Specific engine survey will range between $1100 - $1800 depending on the engine size. This includes both main engines and the generator.
- Expect a full day for all surveys to be accomplished.
- Bring hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and lots of bottled water because you can expect to be outside for most of the day.
